Venue

The conference will take place in ENSIMAG Amphi H (see map) 161 rue des mathématiques, St Martin d'Hères on the University campus.

The Tram station Gabriel Fauré - MUSE is situated close to the building. Once there, cross the tram lines and walk north 50 m to get to 161 rue des mathématiques (ENSIMAG H).

IPAG is situated in OSUG A building 414 rue de la piscine. The nearest stop to IPAG is Université - Les Taillées. Once there, cross the tram lines and walk north 200 m to get to 414 rue de la piscine (OSUG A).

Going to the University campus from Grenoble downtown by tram.

The easiest way to go to the University campus from Grenoble downtown is to take a tram.

Buy a ticket -- Before boarding the tram, you can buy a ticket at one of the ticket vending machines available on the tram platforms (credit cards accepted), and you should validate the ticket before entering the tram at one of the validation machines on the platform. The ticket is valid for 1 hour, including connections between every tram lines and buses. You should validate for each connection. Alternatively, you can install “L’appli M” on your smartphone (AppliM), and buy your ticket from there.

Tram B -- Tram B going to “Gières-Plaine des Sports” is direct from the Grenoble train station to the campus in about 20 min. Tram B’s platform is located on your right when exiting Grenoble’s train station (beware: Tram A’s platform is at the same location but does not go to the University campus). The nearest Tram B stop to IPAG is “Les Taillées”, the nearest stop to ENSIMAG is “Gabriel Fauré - MUSE” (right after “Les Taillées”).

WARNING - Be aware that due to works tram B is replaced by bus after 10pm.

Tram C -- If your hotel is located closer to Tram C that also goes to the University campus (towards "Condillac - Universités"), the nearest tram stop to both IPAG and ENSIMAG is “Gabriel Fauré - MUSE”. On your way back to Grenoble downtown, beware that both Tram B and C stop on the same platform at “Gabriel Fauré”.

WARNING - Be aware that due to works from June, 3 to June 13, Tram C stops at Flandrin-Valmy and is replaced by bus ("Relais-Tram").

The bus stop on the campus is "Condillac Universités" and is located at 515 rue des Résidences (see map).

Coming to Grenoble by train

The Grenoble train station is served by direct TGVs (fast train) from Paris and Lyon St-Exupéry airport. Regional trains connect Grenoble from/to Lyon, Chambéry, Valence, Valence TGV and Geneva.

Long-distance TGVs allow one to connect France to :

• Germany via Lyon, Geneva, or Paris.
• Belgium

Coming to Grenoble by plane

The Lyon-St Exupéry airport is the most convenient international airport to get to Grenoble. Very frequent buses run between the airport and the bus station, located downtown right next to the train station (timetable). It takes 1h05 to get to/from the airport, located about 100 km away. Tickets can be bought online or at the bus station. Another option is the Geneva airport, also accessible by bus from the station in about 2h15 (timetable). Finally, the Grenoble airport caters mostly to low cost airlines bringing in skiers during the winter. Located about 50 km from Grenoble, it is accessible by coach in 45mn (more info).

Coming to Grenoble by car

From Lyon (A48 freeway) or Gap/Sisteron (N175/N185), follow signs for Chambéry, Rocade Sud. If you are coming from Chambéry (A41 freeway), follow signs for Lyon, Valence, Rocade Sud.

If you come from Lyon (A48 motorway) or from Gap/Sisteron (N175/N185), follow the signs for "Chambéry, Rocade Sud". If you come from Chambéry (A41 motorway), follow the signs "Lyon, Valence, Rocade Sud". To reach IPAG, take exit 2 of “Rocade Sud” (named “Saint Martin d’Hères-Péri”), and follow the signs to “Saint Martin d’Hères, Avenue Gabriel Péri”. Follow avenue Gabriel Péri and turn right at the crossing with avenue du Doyen Louis Weil (supermarket Géant Casino on your left). Turn left at the first roundabout, then cross the tram railways (rue de la piscine). Drive for 200m on "rue de la piscine" to reach OSUG A building (number 414). There is a car park behind the building.
